Knole Sofa

Knoll Sofa

A nice example of a modern knole style sofa in Linwood Omega velvet print. The black sofa is already in place. We added new large scatter cushions in the Omega print to complement the newly upholstered sofa.

When your living room looks like this, would you ever go out?

Information: The original Knole Settee (also known as the Knole Sofa) is a couch chair that was made in the 17th century, probably around 1640. It is housed at ‘Knole’ in Kent, a house owned by the Sackville-West family since 1605 but now in the care of the National Trust.

Victorian Chair

Years in Storage

This very pretty and delicate chair was stored by the customer for years in the garage with the intention to have it restored in the future. Our customer decided to have it reupholstered when she moved house (So we collected it from one address and delivered it to another).

It is a Victorian chair; we cleaned and waxed the wood, restored the internals and reupholstered it in the customer’s own fabric. Learn more about reupholstery fabrics

Look at the beautiful curve at the top of the back, the pleated arm fronts and the delicate braid edging – just lovely style and quality design.

Victorian Chaise Lounge

Victorian Chaise

A lovely Victorian Chaise Lounge.  We have reupholstered some 100s of chaise lounge.  Mostly Victorian and Georgian and some modern versions, they were particularly popular in Victorian days.  This example is unusual as it has a metal frame.  A total refurbishment and reupholster, we think she looks delightful in blue and we love the curved form of the front edge.  The fabric is a Linwood Italian velvet in a teal blue. Delivered to our customer in Darlington.

Where would you find such a quality classic like this in modern retail shops? – I’m in love.
