The colour combination with the chrome frame is really stunning.
See the detail stitching – the feel of this fabric feels just like a high-grade leather.
Lovely!

A very delightful small Knole Sofa
A Small Knole Sofa
This is quite a rare Knole Sofa – I’ve never seen one of this size and it is quite unique in that the styling is squared. Possibly a 1930’s bespoke made to order piece. Great to fit our modern homes with timeless elegance.

Artist chair by Ed Luz
A lambing chair that we reupholstered for artist Ed Kluz. Ed is a painter, illustrator, and printmaker. He designed the fabric for this chair for an exhibition in The Scottish Gallery, Dundas Street, Edinburgh. 3rd – 27th October 2018.
His work explores our relationship with the past through notions of English Romanticism. Read more about Ed.

Reupholster and Restoration – Detail of the quality of work
Here are two occasional chairs we restored and reupholstered.
I’ve added nice close-up photographs to show the detailed quality of our work.
I am often asked ‘what will it look like when it comes back’. Our reupholstery service is not a second option to buying new. When we restore a chair or sofa etc we re-manufacture to the highest standard. In some cases actually better than the original mass produced furniture or as close as we can when restoring ancient and antique furniture. For example, we will use tacks and horse hair to match ancient reupholstery work.

A Restored Circa 1972 Bridgecraft suite
Bridgecraft suite bought in 1972 rarely used only on special occasions. Fully refurbished in beautiful Linwood fabric. A complete transformation from the original dralon with ruching. We now have this modern woven fabric with simple piping and no fringe.
The 2 fireside chairs were fully restored in Linwood woolen tartan fabulous compliment to the suite.
And a lovely touch child’s rocking chair long in the family covered in the tartan. Very cute and perfect for the new arrival when she grows into it.
Very happy customers ??

Really cute sat side by side

Loose Coves made for a Sofa
Our customer requested loose covers for her sofa. The requirements were: very simple covers, no piping, and no skirt. Below are the results, I think this style works well with the simple yet chic fabric choice and the pleasing lines of the sofa.
Looks rather ‘French chic’ I think.

Tub Chairs – before and after
You see these chairs often. If the frame is good – and due to the structural shape they usually are – these are a great basis to make your own bespoke bedroom or occasional chair – I have one in my office.
Our customer decided on this lovely blue that really looks great.
Before on the left by the way 🙂

1930’s Fluted Back sofa
We often talk here about the value of buying older quality furniture and restoring it to your style and taste.
This 1930’s Fluted back sofa is a perfect example. With a matching pair of chairs.
Our customer selected the combination of carved and plain high-quality velore to create a stunning one-off showpiece that you can sit on and look at to enjoy. And of course, if you were to order a new version of this quality the total investment will be about double.
Just amazing!

Victorian chaise lounge
Our customer purchased this Victorian chaise at auction and we collected it for her. On inspection, it had been reupholstered in the past but probably fifty years ago. So some restoration work was required to resume the chaise back to how it was when new.
Our customer had a vision of an art deco look fabric in black with white highlights. She selected the Linwood fabric with snow braid and we think it looks stunning.

G-Plan Chair
Really fashionable now and don’t take much to update and reupholster with a new fabric and foams to make as new.
G-Plan chair offers lasting quality and comfort as this lovely example.
Very clean lines and a fresh fabric choice by our customer.
Loose Covers made for a Kingston Chair
We make lose covers for all types of furniture. Here is an example of a custom made loose cover made for a high back Kingston chair – it’s leather underneath.
Curved Arm Chesterfield Sofa
This Chesterfield sofa is unique in that the arms curve away, camel-backed and it has an additional detail curved upholstered rail at the front.
An exceptional example of a slightly new take on a classic.
And here is the before
