How amazing does this nursing chair look? Reupholstered in a Linwood fabric called Omega. The fabric is a printed velvet that looks quite stunning and has a lovely silky feel. A one-off creation on a quality chair.
This is a nice two-seater sofa originally with loose covers. We suggested the sofa would look smarter reupholstered fixed. This way we can achieve a more tailored fit.
The fabric is Ross Aquaclean.
Here is a photo kindly provided by our customer showing the ‘Loose Cover Sofa’ back in its home.
A lovely old rocking chair we reupholstered for a customer.
Our customer told us that is was her grandparents rocking chair that she inherited and it holds many special memories. The sensitive and skilled work done keeps all the character and personality of the chair while breathing new life into it. It looks beautiful!
What a wonderful story – thank you so much for sharing.
In a lovely blue fabric, this is a unique style sofa we reupholstered. Seen here just delivered to our customers home.
The curved detailed lines are really sharp on this fantastic sofa, we made arm caps for practice reasons as this soft will be used daily and the addition of the large scatter cushions really sets it off.
It’s a particularly large sofa that the customer has owned for years. The lady loved it could not find a replacement, therefore, had this one restored and reupholstered in Linwood Fabrics ‘Forget Me Not’ fabric which is discontinued now. We made the rather fine looking scatter cushions using the customer supplied fabric. Another one I want to take home 🙂
Local to us, we restored and reupholstered this pair of chairs in a Ross Aquaclean Fabric in grey tweed.
A pair of matching rotating tub chairs. The chairs rotate on a metal circular base. Really interesting contemporary chairs.
I recognised this sofa as soon as I saw it. Originally sold through Barker and Stonehouse furniture shop back in the 1980s. It’s a quality piece of classic furniture, basically a relaxed oversized Chesterfields sofa without the deep buttons. Originally retailed in a Kilim fabric that was slightly rough to the touch, a bit like a Kilim rug, they were super cool, stylish, massive and expensive.
We have reupholstered at least two in the last year, therefore, we know the quality of the frame. This example, our customer purchased for £50 🙂 Now it looks like a few thousand pounds. Stunning.
You will be surprised at how new quality sea-pads feel. Often customers will say the padding/foam is fine, indeed it will feel ‘fine’. When compared to replacement modern quality seat foams the difference is huge. So, here we have a set of classic Ercol chairs we made new seat cases for along with new seat foams. Read more about replacing seat foams.
Ercol is a British manufacturer founded in 1920 by a young Italian, Lucian Ercolani. It’s basically the same style and look that has lasted. We have had probably close to 1000 Ercol pieces through the workshop over the years – still a very quality popular classic.
The shape of this chair is adorable anyway, covered in newspaper it would still look good :). Here we have restored and reupholstered in a modern velvet with a contrasting back panel. Its something I would have not thought of. Our customer did and it looks great and we made a bespoke unique chair.
PS – You don’t just buy your soft furnishings do you? Design and build to your exact requirements.
Thanks to our customer for sending a photograph of the chair in its new home. It looks great, the Chatsworth Fabric blends nicely with the wood on the chair what an inviting place to sit.
