An in-progress chaise-long

We’ve noticed we haven’t shared many before-and-after photographs lately. Initially, we believed customers preferred seeing the finished product rather than the work in progress or the product on the bench. However, we’d like to showcase an example of our traditional craftsmanship. On the left, you can see the chaise lounge in progress, undergoing preparation for reupholstery; Hand-tied coil springs supported by the jute webbing underneath. Additionally, on the back, you can see the preparation for insulating the hand-pressed, hand-tied buttons. While on the right, you can admire the finished article.

We have finished reupholstering a pair of Howard-style chairs for a customer in London. The end result is a light inviting coordinated pair of occasional chairs. The Howard style chair is a classic fit anywhere chair and these look lovely in a powder blue linen.

Designed Sofa

We recently had the opportunity to work on a truly unique project – reupholstering a sofa using rugby shirts! The client had a design to incorporate the sponsor brand and the shirts, and we were more than happy to bring that vision to life.

The process began when the client sourced the perfect sofa and had it shipped to us. The sofa had a classic design that would perfectly showcase the rugby shirts.

Next, we carefully disassembled the sofa and began the reupholstering process. It was important to us to follow the client’s design, ensuring that their vision was realised. Each rugby shirt was meticulously cut and sewn together to create a piece.

Once the reupholstering was complete, we couldn’t help but admire the final result.

We were honoured to be a part of this unique project and always strive to bring our clients’ creative ideas to life.

Italian Quilted Chair

Originally in leather, we reupholstered it in a denim tweed-type fabric.

An interesting and effective method of reupholstery. The quilting is completed first, pulled over the frame and zipped into place tightly.

Wood Frame Chair Restoration

Ercol Chair

An Ercol chair we reupholstered in a Linwood purple velvet fabric, replaced foam back and seat cushions and tightened the original under-seat webbing. Looking perfect for another generation.

Repairs

This is a leather seat cushion repair we completed and replaced the foam inner.

A very high-grade leather hide that had split on a seam. The replaced seat foam was custom cut and then wrapped in a soft fibre and wrapped in netting to give a soft touch along with quality firm seating.

The case was posted to us by our customer in Bournemouth.

Two Seater Sofa
