A great idea. We made new seat cushion cases for our customers traditional Chesterfield sofa. Clever :).
It’s difficult with blue, it can look cold. This matching pair of probably 1950s occasional chairs look tasteful in a french blue, certainly not even cool. An inviting smart and stylish pair of chairs. Indeed this is Ross Aquaclean fabric a fabric you can clean with just water.
Our customer selected a Porter & Stone Fabric in Balmoral Plaid. The citrus colour lifts the chair and modernises to make a perfect occasional chair that is totally unique. We love the braids detail and the way the fabric is lined through the centre and through the buttons.
A fairly traditional looking chair but of good quality. Our customer selected a Linwood velour print fabric. The look of the chair is now something really special, a designer style chair and totally unique that will look stunning in any setting alone or with its matching sofa.
They tend to be upholstered in sombre colours. Look what you can do to a traditional dining chair with a little flair. Fabulous Dining Chairs.
A 1960s design classic. Reupholstered in Linwood Tweed Herringbone, sage green.

How lovely it was to come down this a.m and see her sitting in the place she had occupied since 1970. We are quite overwhelmed. An absolutely incredible transformation. Barry’s experience is second to none. The frame adjustments have given a new comfort and her new dress is stunning. Jo from our first meeting, I knew we were in good hands. Your warmth and lovely manner is very special. Thank you.

The wood frame has been stripped and waxed to its natural colour. We made new cushions in a fabric from the Ross Bramley collection in chocolate brown. The frame was re-webbed. Delivery to Northumberland.
Our customer purchased the sofa new from ‘Oliviers of Richmond and Barnard Castle’ new 35 years ago.
Isn’t it wonderful to buy a sofa, use it for 35 years then restore it for the next generation to enjoy? Oh, the good old days.
These dining chairs were reupholstered in white grained leather as requested by the customer. Previously upholstered in the cloth – see the original image below. We use only the finest Scottish leather, it looks amazing, feels fantastic and smells really lovely. The quality of these hides is way better than most manufactured leather furniture. The leather is 4mm thick so will take generations of use. They were boardroom chairs owned by the customer. We transformed into white for the dining room.
At first glance, you may be forgiven for thinking this is just an old dated dining chair. Look at the frame, particularly the curved and jointed front curve of the arms, the sheen of the varnish. This is a quality designer chair. Reupholstered in a high-grade Scottish leather it took two hides to complete the set of six. Now an upgraded design piece that will sit well in a modern or contemporary home.
Full restoration of a lovely Edwardian antique chair. Upholstered in a deep blue fabric by Ross of Leeds in crushed velvet.
‘3-2-1’. A three-seater plus a two-seater and a chair. A set of a modern ‘Saddle’ style lounge sofas and chair. We reupholstered this for our customer in a Ross Aquaclean fabric.
Reupholstered for your customer some 15 years ago in a chintz cotton fabric this chair looked more suited to sit in a conservatory or by a french window. It was destined for our customer’s newly renovated Victorian bedroom so our customer selected a Linwood Velvet in Gold Sand. I wish I had a photograph of the chair before as the difference is quite amazing. I’d hardly recognise the chair.
This is a rare example of a very high-quality chair, the suggestion that it is very high quality when it was made is the sprung arms. Yes, actual springs are set into the top of each arm and tied-in then covered with a heavy wadding. Tricky to do but, as always, our pleasure resurrecting a quality classic like this for many more years use.
I may use this word too often, ‘stunning’ and I may say this too often, ‘I want to take it home!’ Both apply here. We restored this 1930s sofa and reupholstered in a mustard Linwood Omega Italian Velvet. The quality, detail and styling are exquisite.
Our customer looked for this exact style for some time, originally made in Denmark, she found it on eBay and shipped it to us. It’s art you can sit on.
The design and coordination on this G-Plan set it really effective and looks amazing.
Linwood printed velvets are becoming quite popular this year. Here is a great showpiece where our customer asked for the piping as on the sofa to show on the coordinating chair.
Now a totally unique bespoke set of furniture with the G-plan style and quality.
We repaired, adjusted the height and reupholstered this older previously made to order sofa.
The customer provided the fabric and specified the adjustments.
